I help to set up, implement, execute and secure your compliance program within your organization. An effective compliance program requires alignment between the activity of the organization, the market, the stakeholders and the nature and culture. And the compliance rules and regulations of course. To improve awareness and acceptance of compliance at all levels within the organization, the way to implement, to execute and maintain the program is crucial. This may well result in a custom-made approach for the various levels or functions within the organization. In this way the acceptance and understanding of the underlaying rules and regulations can be improved more easily.
Compliance
At the rule level, a compliance program is a mix of laws and government regulations on the one hand and your own regulations on the other. Clear and comprehensive compliance policies are therefore important, as well as clear and comprehensive communication of them. A compliance officer or even a separate department should be responsible for maintaining the internal awareness, the day-to-day use and the enforcement. At the end of the day compliance is the behavior of everyone. And everyone must be able to report violation or abuse. And finally, incidents must be treated properly and confidential with a secured internal process.
Avoid reputational damage
Because European and American regulations are complex and have strong sanctions with severe consequences, it is important to know the risks and act accordingly. Think, for example, of International EU and USA Sanctions legislation, the UK Bribery act or European competition law. The enforcement organizations of these laws have far-reaching powers, also with cross-border effect.

Advising on a project contract requires knowledge about the correct contract form and about the organization, the nature of the project, the scope of delivery and the stakeholders involved in the project. Controlling risks and agreeing on appropriate remedies for changes is important. Careful drafting and being able to set limits on contract terms that are too one sided will help you forward here.
Contract management
Contract management is an important function in a large project. Keeping the administrative overview and monitoring deadlines and actions should be well embedded in the project team. Timely and well drafted notifications may well avoid escalation of issues. I can be a sparring partner and can advise on this.
During the execution of a project, unexpected things can occur. I have a lot of experience with this and help you keeping the right track or choose the right route. The goal is to do that while maintaining a good relationship. If necessary, other options can be quickly taken with expert external help.

The aim of these training courses is to strengthen the awareness within your organization for avoiding and limiting legal and compliance risks. These training courses can be independent or fit into a larger whole of a risk management training. Trainings can be preceded by a review or audit and can be followed by implementation and assurance of processes and guidelines. A training is always preceded by an intake so that the right program can be put together for the right target group.
Training is also valuable for maintaining knowledge. Every organization changes over the years. Training can also be part of an onboarding program. Experience shows that such training courses prove their worth every three years.

Purpose
